Dalen's progress....

I haven't posted in a while because there has been so much going on. Dalen has been enjoying his four weeks on chemo treatments and two weeks off. Just when his leg pains starts to get bad, his two weeks off starts. His eye sight is appearing to be getting better. However we wont know for sure until his next eye doctor visit in July. I was at the Circle K gas station yesterday and he saw their sign on top of the building. How much he saw I don't really know, but I was excited he saw it! And he started to text again!! Yesterday, he text all his friends "Schools Out!!!!" with no help. These things may seem simple but in my world their HOPE. HOPE! HOPE! (tears) God is blessing my Dalen, one step at a time. My brother was here in April and told Dalen to speak his healing into existence...well Dalen has been doing just that. I always ask Dalen how's he feeling, how many fingers I have up, hows your stomach, etc.; while going through my regular routine with him he says "I will feel better and I will see again!, now mom let me sleep!" I thought this was so funny and encouraging. I may think my son doesn't understand Faith but he shows me often that he believes.

He was able to attend the last two weeks of school to finish some late work and to take his finals. We haven't received his FCAT scores or final report card, but we are excited he will pass. He was in Howard Middle Spring Dance Recital. He did just a great job. The background was blue and Dalen came on stage with this huge smile. He walks toward the audience and waves his hands up in the air. All you could hear was the girls screaming his name. He then starts to free style dance. He brush his shoulders off and here comes the rest of his dance class dancing. It was Dalen's best dance performance! (I'll post a YouTube link below). I am so proud of him. He has been through so much this school year and I'm just proud of him!...Thank you Howard Middle School for not giving up on my son. I know this was your first year with him and you could not get his full potential the full year of school. He is a awesome kid, just going through at the moment. He'll be back next year!

Everyone please continue to pray for Dalen. He made it throughout five months of chemotherapy treatments with a smile. And I'm sure that he will continuing smiling for the next nine months...Dalen has already spoke it into existence. Thank you Father God for Faith!

I love you all...

Last month Dalen was apart of a charity event called Runway to Hope. You can see the entire event photos @ www.cristynielsen.com. There is also a cool article that mentions Dalen. (This was such an exciting night for Dalen)
